What are your cake sizes and what flavors are available?

We offer the following three cake sizes:

6-inch round yields 6 - 8 very generous portions

8-inch round yields 8 - 12 very generous portions

10-inch round yields 16 - 20 very generous portions

Do you have gluten free options?

We do try our very best to have some gluten free cupcakes on hand for our gluten free friends. However, gluten free baking is not our main focus. If you want a specific cake flavor (or even crumb cake) made gluten free, ordering at least three (3) days in advance is highly recommended.

How much notice do you need for a cake order?

At least three (3) days notice is ideal, as we are making your cake, your filling and your frosting completely from scratch. With that being said, we of all people understand that life is complicated and full of wonderful surprises. If you find yourself in need of a cake in a hurry, please give us a call. We will definitely try to accommodate your order to the best of our ability.

I just bought a cupcake and the frosting isn’t soft - why is that?

If you have made it this far into our site, you are most likely very aware that we are absolute nuts for organic ingredients. We use only real organic butter in all of our frostings (absolutely NO shortening of any kind), and real butter gets firm when you keep it in the refrigerator. We love to showcase our homemade curds and fillings in our cakes, so we keep all of our cakes and cupcakes in a cold display case, which is why our frosting feels firm to the touch when you first purchase your treat. Take the chill off your goodies and help soften your frosting by letting them sit out on the counter for about 30-45 minutes, then enjoy!

I would like to add some buttercream flowers to a cake on your current menu. Is there an additional charge?

Adding Swirl or Cherry Blossom type flower designs to your cake are free of charge.

I saw a picture of a cake online that I want for my birthday. It doesn’t resemble the cakes on your current menu. Can you make a custom cake for me?

The short answer is: maybe?

We do receive a lot of custom cake requests, and we really want to make every special occasion the very best for our customers. However, part of our commitment to wholesome baking includes omitting all bioengineered food ingredients and using only organic, natural food colors.
